Health Reform Bill Makes Fitness Compulsory, Is Your Fitness Expert Credible?
Following a fitness regime has become an almost mandatory proposition these days when health care reform has become a compulsory law. The demand for fitness experts is on a never-before-seen high and you’ll get plenty of ‘em claiming to make you as fit as a fiddle with that highly desirable shape that is much in vogue. But you’ve got to be wise enough to make a correct choice. Otherwise, you’ll end up burning a hole in your pocket and keeping your flab and ailments intact. Here are some guidelines that can make you think out if your fitness expert is really worth your time, effort, money and most importantly –your trust!
Is The Instructor Certified?
I don’t say that all non-certified instructors are bad. When it comes to oriental fitness programs like yoga, there might be some gurus who have learnt the art from their ancestors. Yoga, being a heritage fitness science, does not necessitate a formal certification as many gurus have learnt this from their worthy and authentic seniors. But not all are like them.
There are of course the fraudulent ones who suck you with a few impressive moves not teaching you the real stuff. So don’t go to every Tom, Dick and Harry who professes he is a yoga guru. Ask for convincing credentials before you start training under him. Wrong guidance might actually harm your health.
Is The Exercising Premises Hygienic?
Your yoga centre might supply you resources like the yoga mat or clothing for usage while exercising. Opt for them only when you are convinced that they are hundred percent hygienic. Otherwise, though a slightly expensive alternative, invest in your own exercising material to protect yourself from infectious diseases.
Do You Know The Program Most Appropriate For You?
Fitness regimes may be of different levels according to the level of expertise of the trained persons. A beginner might find the exercises taught in the higher levels difficult to follow. You should always get your level of expertise and
comfort assessed before you opt for an appropriate program. Some fitness trainers don’t tell you the level that is best suited for you and enroll you in the most expensive programs available with them. You certainly don’t achieve your desired levels with this and you might just be not motivated to continue with the exercising program.
Multipurpose Fitness Centers Are Not a Good Option
These days you find many gymnasiums doubling up as yoga centers. Do they have the ambience for yoga? You can do a few yoga exercises maybe, but can you really do concentration and meditation exercises satisfactorily? If you can’t, then you’d better rethink about going to a dedicated yoga center for your yoga exercises. Also, unlike a yoga center, at a gym you might be allowed to come in at anytime due to which you might miss out on any initial instructions from the yoga instructor. Isn’t it better to visit a dedicated yoga center instead?
