Juggling Jobs
It is a desire of the people to have the work satisfaction, having cash in the pockets good enough to make every need of family handy and also to satisfy the inner hunger of fulfilling hobbies and interests. To satisfy these desires, these days’ people are mere tending towards juggling jobs means joining more than one job.
Some of us take on second jobs to make ends meet. Some do it for a chance to do the work they actually enjoy. And some of us create our own second jobs to build a business or create our own projects. No matter what the reason, though, juggling more than one job is guaranteed to be a crash course in time management. The juggling is a “cash” flow if it is worth and a “crash” if not handled properly.
People generally says that it is not only difficult to stand in two boats at a time, but also dangerous. If you miss to make a balance in both the boats, dying could be a very easy job.
How to do it, then? How to handle more than one job?
It’s quite obvious that when you start a new job, it is must to have a time management. Both the jobs should be managed in the way that none of the job gets affected with the other. The clash between two jobs may lead to the end of probably both the jobs. If we honestly think from the employer criteria, we would not have accepted anyone paying time to other job by sacrificing the original ones. So, it is a real requirement that you manage both the ends.
Probably, we could give you a helping hand by giving some helpful tips.
1 Drive the divider
Keep firm dividers between your different jobs. Even if you are the boss on your second job, the self employed ones; you have an obligation to keep that work separate from your day job. Focus on what’s in front of you. Live clockwise.
Just have the number of hours of the main job, say A, and work fully for them in those hours. Since they are paying you for those hours, they must be rewarded by greets and treats of yours. Loyalty is the heart of any job. Even if your entrepreneur is not aware of your juggling lobs, don’t try to make him fool by doing the job of yours in the stipulated time of job A. The very simple calculation is that, the one who pays you should be paid. If your hours are paid by job A, think of it and if your hours belong to you, think of job B. But, have a firm divider in even your outer behavior and inner loyalty.
No transfer of data
It’s really better that you don’t select any of such jobs which conflicts the area of your primary jobs. Not because it may drag you in danger, but also because it would be real difficult to survive you honestly. A stage will definitely come where you’ll have to use the data and also possibly the materials of job A for the job B, which is really very bad.
Some people use the sources and resources of job A, to make benefit for job B. I feel, even if no one asks you until they come to know, but morally you are wrong and you’ll have to answer your soul once and that would be the most difficult phase for you.
So, never use the data and sources of your job A for job B, as you are not entitled to do it, morally.
Facing problem of Job interference?
There will come a day when an emergency comes up at Job A when you’re supposed to be taking care of something for Job B. It’s a fact of life that life never allows us to make adjustment according to our wish all the time. At a particular day, life rocks and hits us. Unless you have very understanding supervisors or clients, you’re going to have to choose between your jobs. In the moment, it’s very hard to make that decision. Sometimes it may happen that the job pay you more seem to be less satisfactory than your selective job and it becomes the worst time of life to make a choice between both the needs of our life, external and internal.
You can’t necessarily make decisions ahead of time, either. The best you can do is making sure you know which of your commitments the priority is when you’re thinking calmly and rationally. Beyond that, I’d suggest thinking about contingency plans. Make a sincere adjustment between both your job and whichever is the earliest required should be given the priority.
My personnel experience is that people generally choose their primary jobs which pay them more, if there is a choice between the more paid and more liked jobs. But, that’s probably wrong. The one you like you more, is the one where you can put good efforts and can expand them more than what you can do in the more paid job. So, dare to prefer the job with more work satisfaction rather than the more payment once.
Make sure that you don’t cheat
This is one of the most important tips for the jugglers. There are people who bring their personnel jobs at their earning jobs. They hide their work from the entrepreneur and use the office time and resources for the fulfillment of their own jobs. It’s very bad. When you are cheating others, you are cheating your self also.
Loyalty is basic foundation of job as well as life. The one, who is not loyal to own self, can not be loyal to anyone else. Make sure that you definitely make a separation of your juggling jobs, and it’s possible.
It’s frustrating? No ways.
Nothing in the world is frustrating if planned properly. So, make some proper plans before starting the juggling of jobs. It’s just the time management which makes it simpler and sober. Having two jobs does not mean that your life has a big end of enjoyment.
There are so many people who are involved in multiple jobs and also they are handling them nicely. If they are able to handle multiple jobs, why can’t you make two jobs in proper standard?
It’s just a balancing of mind which will perform all the jobs. Don’t stretch your body physically and have an assistant for the second job, who performs the job for you and under your guidance. That’s the best way you can have and also it will make the development of your second job much faster and speedier.
So, moral of the story is that, if thousands of people can keep wife and girl friend at a time and still they live happily, why can’t you handle two jobs at a time? Do it.
